Art on the Greenway: Yoga + Painting Workshop
Breathe. Paint. Connect.
Join the Kennett Trails Alliance for an evening of mindfulness and creativity on the Kennett Greenway at Cypress Beach Park! As part of the Art on the Greenway initiative, this workshop offers the next opportunity for community members to contribute brushstrokes to the Wild Medicine Eco Mural 23 — a community mural celebrating the connection between art, nature, and our shared trails.
The evening features two engaging experiences happening concurrently: Family Yoga and mindfulness led by Nakesha Moore of Breathe Moore, and community paint-by-number mural guided by Philadelphia-based muralist Kala Hagopian. Participants will be divided into two groups at the start of the workshop — one group will begin with yoga while the other begins painting, then switch halfway through so everyone can enjoy both activities (approximately one hour each).
Families are invited to bring an item that represents their family — adding personal meaning to the practice (items will be returned after class). Yoga mats will be provided. Please bring water, bug spray, and wear comfortable clothes. In case of inclement weather, the Yoga + Painting Workshop will be moved indoors to The Garage Community and Youth Center (115 S. Union, Kennett Square, PA 19348).
Registration is required. Space is limited, so reserve your spot today!
