Welcome to Cypress Beach Park!

We’re excited to introduce our newly completed 33,000 square-foot pocket park and gathering space, located behind 500 East Cypress Street in downtown Kennett Square. This project is the result of a collaborative effort with Kennett Borough, designed to enhance the community’s access to nature and create spaces for recreation and relaxation.

About the Project

This park is part of a larger initiative to restore the east branch of the Red Clay Creek and enhance more than 30 acres of land, extending from Anson B. Nixon Park to Kennett High School’s Legacy Fields. Our goal is to combine environmental stewardship with community spaces that connect people to nature in their own borough.

Key Features

Stream Restoration: Improvements to water quality and stormwater management along the east branch of the Red Clay Creek.

Native Planting: Removal of invasive species and planting native trees and plants to boost local ecosystems.

Public Access: Enjoy gathering spaces, natural play areas for children, and easy access to the creek.

Kennett Greenway Connection: The park includes a completed portion of the Kennett Greenway, offering walking paths for people of all mobilities.

A Community Space for All

The park offers the community its first natural play spaces for children and public gathering areas designed to be inclusive for visitors of all ages and abilities. With easy access to the creek and walking paths, this park is perfect for relaxation, exploration, and connection with nature.

Explore the Kennett Greenway

This new pocket park is part of the Kennett Greenway, a broader project that enhances walkability and environmental appreciation throughout the borough. Whether you’re out for a stroll, meeting with friends, or exploring with family, the Greenway provides a seamless connection to nature and the surrounding community.
