Red Clay Trail
In partnership with Kennett Borough, we are taking steps to restore the east branch of the Red Clay Creek from Anson B. Nixon park to Kennett High School, while simultaneously creating a new link in the future Kennett Greenway.
WHERE
The 30+ acres of land along the east branch of the Red Clay Creek, from Anson B. Nixon in the north to Kennett High School in the South. The project is bordered by Race Street to the west and Dalmatian/Walnut Streets to the east. The land includes property owned by Kennett Borough, the YMCA, Kennett Fire Company as well as several private landowners.
This largely under-utilized space has the capacity to become the connective tissue linking more than a dozen community assets.
